Through Epic Sciences, I led the development of a non-invasive diagnostic test to detect the presence of a transmembrane glycoprotein, 5T4, on circulating tumor cells. This molecule was of particular interest to Pfizer as a candidate for new targeted cancer therapies. Our findings were published in PLOS One (peer-reviewed journal), and we were awarded a US patent for the novel approach.
