After UNH, I moved to San Diego to join fresh startup Epic Sciences as it's 5th employee. Epic grew to over 120 during my 6 years there, and I served in a variety of roles from assay developer to pharmaceutical accounts manager to systems engineer. I led pivotal companion diagnostic projects with Pfizer and Genentech during this time, publishing a pair of peer-reviewed journal articles with them and obtaining a U.S. patent for a novel diagnostic test.
